The importance of marshals in motorsport cannot be highlighted enough. They are the key resource that enables events to take place and competitors to do what they enjoy doing most. Here at Rali Bae Ceredigion we tried to do what we could to make the day as enjoyable and memorable as possible for our team of 600 volunteers.

To help to make our marshals – who joined us from across the UK – feel welcome, we provided goodie bags that contained a range of items from leading Welsh producers. One of these was a bag of Get Jerky, a great-tasting, gluten-free, high-protein snack, made from responsibly-sourced, Welsh PGI beef.

Produced by Welshpool-based Trailhead Beef Jerky, a sister company to Cambrian Training Company/ Cwmni Hyfforddiant Cambrian – one of the event’s partner sponsors and who we featured in yesterday’s post – Get Jerky is becoming increasing popular not only in Wales, but right across the UK. And to help keep our army of fantastic marshals nourished, the company donated bags of its award-winning and highly-acclaimed product in a range of flavours: Original, BBQ, Black Pepper, Spicy Chilli, Hot Smoked Chipotle, Black Garlic & Ginger, Teriyaki – and for the brave, Devil’s Wrath.

Trailhead launched its Get Jerky brand of beef jerky in October 2018 at the Wales Rally GB, when Aberdovey driver and runner-up on the Rali Bae Ceredigion Tom Cave Racing proudly carried the livery on their car. From then on, the great taste, nutritional benefits and innovative marketing campaigns have seen Get Jerky on sale in more and more outlets, not just in Wales but in all corners of the British Isles.

If you haven’t tried it and your local store either isn’t open or hasn’t discovered Get Jerky yet, then you can still order online during the lockdown period: http://www.trailheadfinefoods.co.uk/shop/
